All Sports Booster Club Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Sally Borello, Alison & Paul Eischens, Matt & Dena Crider, Patrick Judge, Patricia Lorenzana, Mary Van Brunt, Donna Hope, Cynthia MacQuarrie, Susan Shum-Maxwell, Ana Pilor McDowell, and Terri Hannigan

 

7:08 PM Meeting called to order by Sally Borello, Vice President.

 

Sally Borello – Vice President – Motion to discuss and approve minutes from the June 9^th and August 25^th, All Sports Booster’s Meetings. Minutes accepted and approved.

 

Motion called to discuss Boys Volleyball Request for new bags. Bags are 5 years old. Total price for 30 bags is $746.93. Request accepted and approved.

 

Motion called to discuss Varsity Boys Basketball uniforms. Total price $4451.20. Varsity jerseys will be passed down to frosh/soph. Uniforms are high end, durable jerseys and shorts. Request accepted and approved.

 

Paul Eischens – Treasurer – Reviewed Treasurer Report

Current balance of $86,142.81

Motion to vote on 2009 -2010 All Sports Booster Club Budget

Budget accepted and approved.

 

Donna Hope – Leigh Principal – Score board to be installed in a week or two.

Air conditioning in the gym is to be repaired in the near future. 

 

Honor the Game Week: 3 presentations provided to students. The first powerpoint presentation was about the importance of sportsmanship, the second powerpoint presentation was about steroids and their impact on teams and sports in general, the third presentation was about refereeing, what its like to be a ref, why there is a shortage of refs, and why you should consider doing this after high school. Students were very interested in these presentations.

 

The school is off to a good start with facilities management. Parking, restrooms and snack bar are all operating well. It’s been an exciting 4 weeks of school!

 

Per Matt Crider – During the operation of the Snack Shack at the football games, there should not be people entering the snack shack who do not belong there. There is a lot of money lying around. If someone must enter, they should ask first if they can and then enter. Not just walk in.

 

Sally – Next Booster’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7:00 PM in the library. 

 

Motion to adjourn meeting at 7:33 PM. Motion accepted.
